Waiting for Sloppy before the afternoon crowds arrive. This is the last post from Key West, which Benny will probably always think of as Cat Island. We're back at the Flight Park now.

Waiting Patiently
Benny is waiting for "Gigi" the toy poodle he met last night to arrive for thier breakfast date. Alas she never showed. I plan to take him for a bicycle ride around the island and a swim to try and get his mind off the heartbreak. OK I made up the part about "Gigi" but the rest is true. By the way, this is a great place for breakfast.

Big Wave
Well, it's a big wave to him. If you look real close you can see the little stick he's waiting for the wave to bring to him. Waves were new to him but it only took one dunking for him to figure them out.

Just another Sunrise
Higgs Beach, Key West, Fl. taken yesterday.
Benny enjoys the sunrises and just sits by my feet till I'm done taking pictures.
A little cool and windy yesterday; like a warm Spring day back home.

Too many chickens!
Benny and I had breakfast at the Blue Heavan yesterday. One of the few restaurants that still allows dogs. See if you can find the two roosters in the picture. An expenseive non-paid trip to Key West if you win.
He made it
Benny made it to the southernmost point in the USA, Key West,Fl.. Lots of cats and roosters down here. Scared of the former, ignores the latter.

Almost there
We camped at Lazy Lakes campground last night. Only 19.5 miles to Key West. Lazy Lakes was a coral quarry before it was a campground.

Lonely dog in street
Rush hour this morning in downtown Clermont,Fl. There is some traffic every couple of minutes but you can hear and see it long before it's a problem. Benny was never in any danger. No one was even around to yell at me for taking pictures in the middle of the street.

Florida or bust
Benny and I left just before the Super bowl started. I drove most of the way. We arrived at Questair about noon today. I caught up with some of my pilot friends and Benny explored all his old haunts. Sue, the cat, is still here. I haven't lost hope that someday they will be friends and explore this 50 acre flight park together.
